Growing Organic Food - Central Vancouver Island

The Instructor:


Connie Kuramoto has a Diploma in Horticulture Technology and has been teaching Horticulture for over thirty years. Connie taught at Vancouver Island University in their Horticulture Technology Program for over twenty years, and has also taught the Red Seal Landscape Apprentice Program Levels One and Two at North Island College. She started teaching for Gaia College eight years ago, and during that time has taught the Organic Master Gardener Course, the Food Growing Course, and the Plant Identification Course. Connie teaches workshops in all aspects of organic food growing and is heavily involved in local food security groups. Her company, Gardens on the Go offers a full line of garden work and consultation, and recently Connie completed a contact with a local regional district assisting them in launching their regional agricultural plan.
