What is the Organic Master Gardener Course?
The Organic Master Gardener (OMG) Course is an organic gardening and land care course designed for anyone interested in learning more about maintaining lawns and gardens without the use of pesticides and chemicals. The OMG course is Gaia College’s most popular and trademark course.
Designed for everyone from backyard and community gardeners to professional landscapers this course has something for everyone interested in sustainable land management practices.
This comprehensive and inspiring course lays the foundation for making decisions on growing plants for ornamental or food purposes based on SOUL (Society for Organic Urban Land Care) organic standards, recognized by COG and prepares students to write the SOUL Organic Land Care Accreditation Exam.
- This course qualifies for Continuing Education Credits for industry certifications (ISA, BCSLA, CNLA, MGOI, NALP, IPM & NOFA) and at the college level (3 credits).
- Please note, you will need weekly access to a computer and the internet for some course materials.
- An active email address is required for course enrolment.
- Because this course is offered in partnership with Gaia College, Gaia College's Policies will apply.
