Feast of Fields Ottawa 2009
On Sunday, September 13th a diverse crowd of 600+ people met under sunny skies in Vincent Massey Park, Ottawa to celebrate the fall harvest and form new relationships.
Adrian Harewood of CBC’s Radio One and the funky beats of Mango Upstart and special guest Errol Francis kept participants entertained and informed.
The Chef/Farmer Team honoured with the title of Best Food team for 2009 was Ferme Aux Saveurs des Monts (Suzane LaPlante and Sylvain Bertrand) and Fairmont Chateau Montebello. Chefs Serge Jost and Tim Wasylko served up slow roasted ballotine of capon with early fall compote and basil vinaigrette.
The honour of 2009 Best Booth went to Ashton Glen Farm and their partner Imperial Food and Beverage.
