Genetic modification poses new urgent threats to the future of organics in Ontario. Lucy will give us the latest information and strategic updates on GM crops and animals. How can we work together to protect organics from genetic pollution?
Lucy Sharratt travaille comme coordinatrice de Réseau canadien d’action sur les biotechnologies (CBAN) à Ottawa (www.cban.ca). Lucy a déjà travaillé comme chercheuse et comme activiste avec des organisations concernées par la génie génétique depuis 1999. Lucy fut la coordinatrice de Interdire Terminator International. Auparavant, elle était coordinatrice de Safe Food/Sustainable Agriculture Campaign à Sierra Club Canada. Elle a aussi travaillé comme coordinatrice de Safe Food/Sustainable Agriculture Campaign au Club Sierra Canada; elle a travaillé comme chercheuse pour le Projet Bio Justice de Polaris Institute à Ottawa. Lucy a fait sa thèse pour sa maîtrise au sujet du contrôle des récoltes et de l’alimentation GM au Canada.
