FARM OPPORTUNITIES
Here is an opportunity for a young or new farmer in the Ottawa area. Please circulate to anyone you know who might be interested. Land available for rent: 32 acres plus a modern house located approximately one hour west of Ottawa, near a lake and a conservation area. Owners are seeking someone who would farm the land organically (land is not yet certified). May well be a good spot for a market garden or CSA operation. There may be opportunity to rent additional adjoining land in the future as well. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
COG-Ottawa Needs You !
Calling all dedicated volunteers! COG-Ottawa is seeking a variety of volunteers to manage and operate its information booth. Duties include scheduling, corresponding, record keeping, transporting and setting up booth materials, as well as representing COG-Ottawa program initiatives.
Volunteer job descriptions are available on request. Prior experience with COG or similar organizations is preferred, but not essential. If interested please contact Program Coordinator Petra Stevenson at 613-244-4000, Ext. 4 or ottawachapter@cog.ca for more detailed information.
