Seedy Saturday 2010 - Saturday, February 20; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Royal Botanical Gardens, Burlington.

Swap or buy seeds, participate in a workshop, or take part in a demonstration. Seedy Saturday is filled with great gardening ideas. Seed vendors have a variety of hard-to-find heritage and specialty seeds as well as supplies for home propagating. Hands-on activities for kids, raffles and more. Registration is not necessary. Regular daily admission is payable at the door.

Started in 2007 as a pilot project with the help of COG Hamilton, this unique farmers market puts emphasis on sustainability and caters to the needs of organic farmers. Consumer education plays a big part in the goal to enlighten consumers on the benefits of eating organic and supporting local, organic farmers and producers. http://www.market.osfp.ca
