COG OSO is seeking a Part Time SOG Administrative Coordinator for the

Senior Organic Gardeners Program.


Senior Organic Gardeners (SOG) Program offers opportunities to seniors in the community to engage in organic food gardening, to benefit from healthy food, learning experiences about organic food, physical activity as able, a productive pastime, social interactions and restful therapy that gardening can offer. The SOG Coordinator

The role of SOG Coordinator is to offer administrative support to the SOG Program and specifically to the SOG Manager. It would be best suited to someone with strong organizational skills, accounting, record keeping and writing skills plus knowledge and passion for seniors and seniors’ issues as well as gardening. This position involves office work for reports and financial accounts in accordance with the terms of the grant, supporting the SOG Manager with scheduling, workshop preparation, ordering supplies and planning.


This is a part time position as an employee of Canadian Organic Growers. Compensation is commensurate with experience.  Hours per week will average between 15 to 18 hours with more hours required in the spring and summer seasons.  The position is a combination of home and office-based. The ability to work from a home office with computer and internet access is a requirement. This position is funded until October 31, 2018.
